The Quilters Group has been stitching beautiful patterns and warm, comforting designs for many years!
We hand stitches quilts on request (there is usually a waiting list). This is a work of love that takes many hours and creates treasures to be passed down through the ages. Prices are determined by the work involved.
Our ladies “tack” smaller quilts/lap robes. These are the perfect size to cover a lap when sitting or wrap around shoulders on a cold night. They are donated to nursing homes or folks in need such as when a home fire happens. Also, boys from the Verona Boy’s Home each received a small quilt at a Christmas party held by church members.
Baby quilts are also tacked. These delightful items are displayed for sale in a glass case in the church narthex. We make two sizes ($20 & $25).
Fabric donations are accepted and welcome.
With proceeds from the sale of our creations, we have purchased quite a few items for the church over the years and made donations to a variety of projects; including missions, the new roof, downstairs kitchen cabinets and tile in the Braille Group work room and nearby hallway.
Quilters meet every Wednesday starting at 9 AM. Around 10 AM we break for snacks and devotions with Pastor. We usually wrap up around noon.
